The Boston Comedy Festival Comedy Competition brings 96 comedians from across the country and Canada to Boston for one of New England’s biggest stand-up competitions.
Over eight preliminary rounds, 12 comedians take the stage at each show, all competing for a spot in the semifinals. Only 32 comedians will advance.
And here’s the fun part: you never know who’s going to break out. Some competitors already have impressive credits. Others could be the next big name you haven’t heard of yet.
Hosted by Jack Lynch
A veteran of the Boston comedy scene, Jack Lynch has toured throughout the U.S. and Canada with his earthy style, sharp sarcasm, and spot-on impressions. He has performed at major comedy clubs, casinos, and colleges across the country and has been seen on Comedy Central.
Jack has also shared the stage with comedy legends including Lenny Clarke, Steven Wright, and Damon Wayans.
Special Guest Chris Post
Chris Post is a Boston-based comedian and producer who has performed at the Rogue Island Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festival, and 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival. A 2019 Boston Comedy Festival finalist, Chris currently produces a weekly comedy show at the Beacon Hill Pub.
His comedy draws from a lifetime of bizarre experiences, everyday mistakes, and the ongoing struggle to become a slightly better person.
