The field is down to 32. Tonight, 8 comedians get their shot at the finals.
After 96 comedians came to Boston to compete in the Boston Comedy Festival Comedy Competition, the first round is over, and the competition is getting serious. Eight semifinalists take the stage, each hoping to deliver the set that gets them one step closer to the championship and $7,000 in prize money.
This is the part of the competition where you really don't know who's going to break out. Some of these comedians have already built impressive resumes. Others could be the comedian you discover tonight and start following tomorrow.
